Fees

As of April 2005 the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) no longer offers funding for physiotherapy visits.  However, most extended health plans now cover Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Custom Orthotics.

Coverage by Extended Healthcare Plans

While you do not require a doctor's referral to attend Kanata Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Clinic, your insurance company may require one to process your claim.

Since most extended health insurance companies currently do not accept direct billing from Physiotherapy clinics, we request payment for assessments and/or treatments after each visit.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.

If you will be claiming your treatments through any extended insurance, a receipt will be provided to you after each payment, which you can then submit for reimbursement.

Coverage by Motor Vehicle Insurance Plans

If you have injuries stemming from a motor vehicle accident, your treatment should be covered by your car insurance.  These treatments can be billed directly to your car insurance company.

Coverage through Blue Cross

We have direct billing privileges through Blue Cross for those with coverage through RCMP, DND, Canadian Forces and Veterans Affairs.
