About Physiotherapy Fees

As of April 2005 the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) no longer offers funding for physiotherapy visits. However, most extended health plans now cover physiotherapy and massage therapy treatments.

You do not require a doctor's referral to attend physiotherapy treatment, however, your insurance company may require one to process your claim.

If you have injuries stemming from a motor vehicle accident, your treatment should be covered by your car insurance. These treatments can be billed directly to your car insurance company.

Kanata Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Clinic accepts WSIB claims if you are hurt at work.

We also have direct billing privileges through Blue Cross for those with coverage through RCMP, DND, Canadian Forces and Veterans Affairs.
