What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a manual, soft tissue therapy developed to provide relief for a variety of health conditions or problems, including:

  • Back pain, neck pain and spinal pain
  • Headaches, migraines and tension
  • Sprains, strains and joint problems
  • Difficulty with relaxation and stress management
  • Muscle pain, injuries or inflammation
  • Sports injuries
  • Repetitive strain injuries, and office overuse injuries

 

What is a Registered Massage Therapist?

Registered Massage Therapy is a specific field of healthcare in which practitioners must graduate from an accredited post secondary institution.  A Registered Massage Therapist, or RMT, is required to have accumulated over 2200 hours of training and passed a rigorous provincial testing standard before becoming "Registered".  RMT's must also be members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, an independent body which regulates the performance of all Registered Massage Therapists.  

Registered Massage Therapists are the true experts in their field and are licensed under the same laws in Ontario as Physicians, Registered Nurses and Physiotherapists.

Most insurance plans will only reimburse treatments provided by a Registered Massage Therapist.

We conveniently offer morning, afternoon and evening bookings, from Monday to Friday.  All massages are performed in a private, confidential room, with the utmost attention to privacy. We offer both female and male Registered Massage Therapists.

Our Registered Massage Therapists will work in conjunction with your physician and Physiotherapist to provide you with the most holistic approach to your needs.
