Our Physiotherapists

Sandeep Kulkarni - Physiotherapist/Director

Sandeep graduated from McGill University in 2000.  He has been working in orthopaedics for over 11 years, and has taken numerous courses in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, including manual therapy, back, neck, peripheral joint and jaw/temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. 

Sandeep is also certified in Acupuncture and Therapeutic Dry Needling for the treatment of chronic muscular pain. 

He has a special interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation, and has been certified in treating inner ear and balance dysfunctions by the Emory University vestibular rehabilitation certification program.

 

Helen Tremblay - Physiotherapist

Helen graduated from the University of Toronto in 1988.  She has been working in orthopaedics for over 23 years and has been a member of the College of Physiotherapists of New Brunswick, the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists and the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. 

Continuing education has been an invaluable tool contributing to Helen’s practice.  She has taken courses in the assessment and treatment of peripheral, spinal and temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) using manual therapy techniques as well as courses focused on muscle and movement imbalances.    

Helen is very active in her community and enjoys her cross section of clients ranging from children to adults to senior citizens, whose injuries vary from those sustained in sports related activities, motor vehicle accidents, repetitive stress or chronic injuries.

 

Natalie Morris - Physiotherapist

Natalie is a bilingual Physiotherapist who graduated from the Physiotherapy program at the University of Ottawa in 2007.  While there, she worked extensively with the varsity sports teams as an athletic trainer.  Upon graduating she continues to be involved in sports at the community level. 

Natalie also has pursued her education by completing manual therapy and orthopaedic post graduate courses.  She works in a variety of settings splitting her time between private clinic, long-term care and volunteer work within the sporting community.

 

Shawn Chopra - Physiotherapist

Shawn is a bilingual Physiotherapist who obtained his Master's Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2009.  Since that time, he has worked in a variety of clinical settings, focused primarily on orthopaedics.  His post graduate interests include continuing to advance his Manual Therapy credentials and research portfolio. 

Shawn strives to ensure quality treatments, where his patients understand their condition and act as partners in achieving a healthy, injury-free lifestyle.

 

Our Registered Massage Therapists

Melissa Pelletier - Registered Massage Therapist

Melissa is a bilingual Massage Therapist who graduated from CDI College (now Everest College) in Ottawa in 2004, and has been practicing for over 7 years now. 

Melissa focuses on a number of clinical problems, including sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, post operative conditions, palliative and chronic pain, and work related stresses/injuries.  Her numerous techniques include, but are not limited to: hydrotherapy, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, remedial exercise, strain/counter strain, sport massage, Swedish massage, trigger point release, active release, PNF stretching, TMJ , relaxation and more.

 

Jason Ritchie - Registered Massage Therapist

Jason graduated from the International Academy Health Education Centre in 2005 and has been practicing massage therapy for over 4 years. 

Jason treats a variety of conditions related to the joints and soft tissues of the body.  He has taken several courses on the upper and lower extremities and regularly treats people who have been in motor vehicle accidents or have work related injuries.  Jason can also treat a number of injuries or conditions related to athletics.   His techniques include: Swedish massages, deep tissue, active release, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point release, TMJ, stretching and remedial exercises.

 

Our Chiropodist

Nathalie de Maurivez - Chiropodist 

Nathalie de Maurivez, certified Chiropodist, graduated in Human Kinetics in Ottawa in 2006, and later in Podiatric Medicine in Toronto in 2009.  

Nathalie performs soft tissue surgeries, treats various nail and skin ailments, as well as prescribes, designs and fits custom foot Orthotics.
